This young man started life hard, born to a drug addicted mother, bounced from one foster home to another. By age 5 he had experienced more of the underbelly of life than most people. He finally found a home, and with the support of his adopted family, he overcame many psychological and emotional challenges to graduate High School and join the Air Force. He is currently stationed at Travis AFB as a C-5 Crew Chief. He is a hero because her persevered and overcame life first experiences, never giving up hope in a better future.
