Dr. Ryan recognizes that many third graders cannot sit still for long periods of time and will gather things that allow students to slightly fidget to tune in their focus and concentration on the teaching. She allows the students to be comfortable while they do their work. She also reminds them daily that the students will absolutely struggle because out of struggle, they learn and become better. And she also addresses issues head on and alerts the parents right away.
