HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Between now and the end of the day on April 30th, anyone in California can nominate a deserving K-12 teacher in Solano, Napa, Yolo, and Contra Costa counties by completing the nomination form on our website.
Submit your favorite teacher to the contest by April 30th, and then cast your vote for any of the nominated teachers listed on our website. Voting ends at the end of the day on April 30th.
Once we tally up the votes, the prizes as listed below will be distributed to the winners to honor all the hard work they’ve done and young lives they’ve touched. The school that receives the most votes for its teachers will also get a $2,000 check. We will announce the winners at 3:30 PM on May 7th, 2025 on Facebook Live.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced on Teacher Appreciation day on May 7, 2025. The winner of the weekend getaway that needs to be present to win

Any teacher who receives a nomination will be automatically entered into a drawing for the weekend getaway. The winner of the weekend getaway that needs to be present to win

Amber Davis 6th Browns Valley Elementary Amber Davis I am nominating Mrs. Davis because she is a phenomenal educator who goes above and beyond for her students. Amy Armstrong Kindergarten Foxboro Elementary Amy Armstrong I’ve had two of my children in Mrs. Armstrong’s class. She is the poster child or teacher for serving her school community without asking for anything g in return. She helps with the PTA, PBIS, after school programs, family fun night, takes initiative for spring sing, helps keep her co workers positively motivated and is in constant communication with parents, staff and PTA. Amy Shelton 3 Foxboro Amy Shelton Mrs. Shelton has always gone above and beyond what is expected for a 3rd grade teacher. She is so empathetic and understanding. Angela Brazeel Pre-school Little Scholars Angela Brazeel Her story is incredible. She started Little Scholars in Jan of 2020 just a few months before the pandemic hit. The pandemic hit in March and then I almost died in May and was in hospital for 32 days. She maintained and grew. She has been full ever since. She employs three people and has taught them how to be wonderful teachers as well. Angela is the epitome of what a teacher should be. Every single day she touches the lives of these children and it shows. The children love her. Angela has a structured environment and a focused, faith based curriculum that not only educates but also helps to grow character, integrity, faith, and self awareness. I believe there are many great teachers that play an important role, but I don’t think there are any more important than their first!
