How to Participate

Between now and the end of the day on April 30th, 2026, anyone in California can nominate a deserving K-12 teacher in Solano, Napa, Yolo, and Contra Costa counties by completing the nomination form on our website.
Vote
Submit your favorite teacher to the contest by April 30th, and then cast your vote for any of the nominated teachers listed on our website. Voting ends at the end of the day on April 30th.
Results
Once we tally up the votes, the prizes as listed below will be distributed to the winners to honor all the hard work they’ve done and young lives they’ve touched. The school that receives the most votes for its teachers will also get a $2,000 check. We will announce the winners at 3:30 PM on May 9th, 2026 on Facebook Live.

What teachers are eligible?

Any current K-12 public or private school teacher who teaches in the following counties: Solano, Napa, Yolo, and Contra Costa.

  • Eligible: TK (Transitional Kindergarten) teachers.
  • Not eligible: Pre-school teachers, teacher's aides, paraeducators, and retired teachers.
Who can nominate teachers?
Anyone can nominate a teacher. Current students, former students, parents, other teachers, administrators, or members of the community. Your name and email address are required to nominate but will remain anonymous.
Who can vote for a teacher?
Anyone can vote for a teacher.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced on Teacher Appreciation day on May 5, 2026. The winner of the weekend getaway that needs to be present to win.
How can I get more people to vote for my favorite teacher?
You can show your support for your favorite teacher by sharing the contest on your social media, and by asking friends and family to vote.
